2006 - The City has a new mayor. Mayor Bob O'Connor. He appears fool of energy and down to earth. I was very impressed when I heard the news report that Mayor O'Connor ordered the areas around the New Statiums cleaned. What a low tech but wonderfully simple idea to improve the downtown area. The green areas around the statiums are used by workers doing lunch daily. Years ago the Mayor of the city had signs on the garbage cans saying, "For Pete's sake help keep the city clean." I remember other politians complaining that he was using the garbage cans and the printed message for Pete's own polical gain. I never though so, if any thing it made since then and may for Bob's sake now. I am sure you would agree, that a clean Pittsburgh is a very excellent inexpensive step in the right direction.

Good start Mayor!!!

     2006 - Presently, our Mayor is hospitalized in critical condition!      The people of Pittsburgh are united with the common desire for a complete recovery!
